2,000 Americans will gather at Ocean Beach in San Francisco to spell out “DUMP CITIZENS UNITED” with their bodies

On October 13 at 10:45 a.m., just weeks before the 2012 election, 2,000 Americans will gather at Ocean Beach in San Francisco to spell out “DUMP CITIZENS UNITED” with their bodies, in 100-foot-tall letters, visible from the air.
But this event won’t happen without you and your friends.

Corporations are NOT people, but Citizens United is still the law of the land, allowing corporations and Super PACs unaccountable influence over our elections. There is a movement to change that, and Courage Campaign is inviting you to join it.

This Saturday, October 13, thousands of real, non-corporate people will gather at Ocean Beach in San Francisco to spell it out: "DUMP CITIZENS UNITED!"

The Dump Citizens United human banner is a collaboration between local artist/organizer Brad Newsham and The Other 98%, a netroots community with 300,000+ members, plus a coalition of other progressive groups that includes CREDO, Common Cause, Code Pink, Courage Campaign and an ever-growing list of others.

This gathering will continue a Bay Area tradition of people from all walks of life uniting to send a strong and beautiful message to the country and the world. We hope you and your friends will join us for this colorful, peaceful, free (and brief) event.

Please arrive 10:45am. Helicopter overhead at noon. Beautiful postcard (a photo like the one above) in your mailbox within days.

Thanks for all you do,

Eddie Kurtz, Director of Campaigns
Courage Campaign
