National Board Certification is a 10-part advanced certificate for experienced teachers. Teachers have up to three years to
achieve National Board Certification.
Scholarships will be given on a first-come, first-served basis in low-performing schools to teachers who: 1) have
completed the scholarship application and 2) have identified at least three teachers who will form a cohort to complete
the requirements of National Board Certification from their school. If a school-based cohort is not possible, second
priority will be given to teachers who are able to secure a district-based cohort.
Teachers who complete 10 scoreable entries and do not achieve on the first attempt may apply for two re-take
scholarships.
