Registration is now open for the Conservatory of Flowers 2011/2012 Adaptation tours. Please share this information with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teachers at your school.
For their free tour of San Francisco’s historic Conservatory of Flowers, students are introduced to the tropical ecosystems of the rain forest and the plant adaptations that enable tropical plants to survive. Teachers are provided with online materials to prep their students before the tour and every student receives a field guide notebook. The Conservatory also offers a 1 to 6 Jungle Guide to student ratio.
Note the change this year that docent led Adaptation tours are restricted to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes. However, free self-guided tours are available to all grades. Visitwww.conservatoryofflowers.org/education for more information on self-guided tours.
